COMMUNITIES DEVELOP AS CORPS MEMBERS PREACH QUALITY EDUCATION
The communities in Boluwaduro Local government, Osun State have experienced sustainable development as the corps members from seven prominent Community Development Service (CDS) groups preached the importance of quality education.
The sensitization program, which was tagged “IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION” had the corps members addressing the traditional rulers, aged parents, market women and ultimately, the young ones on the significance of quality education both in foreign and indigenous languages.
The coordinator of the event, Mr. Emmanuel Oluwatosin in his speech encouraged the parents and residents of these communities to ensure giving their kids quality education. He noted that, “parents should not just send their children to farm but also send them to school because an investment in educations pays the best interest”.
Oluwatosin further emphasized that an educated society would undoubtedly produce future leaders that engender rapid development in the communities, hence reducing crime rates and other social problems. He also urged the state government and the philanthropists in the communities to provide a justifiable study environment for the children and youth.
In his response, the paramount ruler of Otan Ayegbaju kingdom who oversees the nearby communities expressed his profound gratitude to the corps members, and ultimately the scheme for the sensitization program. He further admonished them to have contentment with anything they possess, and not engage in internet fraud.
