YOU DO NOT NEED THE LIFE OF ANYBODY TO ASPIRE TO ANY POSITION - Sanusi Charges Corps Members.
Corps members deployed to Osun State have been charged to imbibe the spirit of participation in every competition in life.
The charge was given by the Acting Director, Corps Welfare and Inspectorate, Mr AbdulRasheed Sanusi during his visit to the 2019 Batch B stream II orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
The Director, while addressing the corps members took time to expantiate on the importance of all the components and programmes of the orientation course.
He stressed the benefits of corps members full involvement in all camp's activities including training, lectures, and physical exercises. Speaking on the various interplatoon competitions, Sanusi called on the members never to take a life or kill because they are aspiring for a position but rather to imbibe the spirit of participation as taught by the various competitions they are exposed to during the orientation course.
He further told them not to expect maximum comfort from the camp as it is only a temporary abode where all conveniences should not be expected but rather they should make the best of what is available. "Everything you are exposed to on camp is to test your endurance as no leader can succeed without endurance.
This inform the kind of training you're exposed to" he said.
Still speaking on the orientation course programmes, Sanusi said it is important for the members to embrace the drills and man'o'war trainings in order to stay physically fit, "the number of degrees and mental trainings you have acquired can be rubbished by a bad health. Therefore, the drills and physical exercise is to show you the importance of living healthy.
" I want you to take good care of your health through regular exercise" he added.
Conclusively, he charged them to refrain from useless adventures which exposes them to dangers and urged them to be prayerful in all they do and to always ensure they obtain permission before travelling out of their places of primary assignments.
Speaking earlier, the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke intimated the Director on the situation of the camp and the deportment of the corps members deployed to the State. While delivering his brief, he described the corps members as disciplined and highly committed to duty.
