OUR MANDATE IS TO ENSURE YOU SERVE - Jegede
The 1800 corps members deployed to Osun State for the 2019 Batch B stream II orientation course have been called upon to prepare themselves to serve selflessly and meritoriously as it is the mandate of the scheme to ensure all corps members serve right during the service year.
To ensure this, the scheme, according to the Assistant Director Corps Inspection and Monitoring Mr Jegede Rufus, has set up the corps inspection and monitoring branch to inspect and monitor corps members deployed to the State throughout the service year." Our job is to inspect and monitor corps members, and we can not leave those we are monitoring to go astray. Therefore, stay at your places of primary assignments, go nowhere without permission" he added.
Jegede enjoined the members to take the service year seriously as it affords them the opportunity to serve the nation and the people. He urged them to make the best of the opportunity by ensuring they serve well.
Speaking on dressing, Jegede admonished the corps members to be decent in their dressing in order to avoid unwanted attention and harrassment. He further urged them to dress the way they would want to be addressed and respected.
The lecture which was all encompassing further exposed the members to the 4 zones, 30 local governments and 1 area office in the State and also, to the channel of communication during the service year.
