*OKPALIFO ENJOINS CORPS MEMBERS TO MARRY THE NYSC BYE-LAW FOR A HITCHFREE SERVICE YEAR
The Assistant Director, Corps Discipline and Reward, Mrs. Charity Okpalifo, has enlightened the members of Platoon 1-5 of the 2019 Batch B stream II orientation course on the rewards and sanctions put in place by the NYSC scheme.
While speaking at a morning lecture held at the Multipurpose hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, She educated the corps members on a number of factors which could qualify one for an award amongst which she mentioned active participation and exceptional performance among others.
further speaking, she enjoined the members to marry their bye laws throughout the service year as everything they need to know about the rules and sanctions for breaking the laid down rules of the scheme are spelt out in it. According to her, " if you marry your bye law you will not run contrary to expectations of the scheme".
She further took the corps members through the types of award, requirements and the disqualifying factors. She also talked about the various disciplinary measures put in place to checkmate unruly behaviours and other offences that contavenes the bye laws among corps members. She then warned the corps members to desist from actions that could possibly land them at the mercy of the camp court or the state disciplinary committee.
Conclusively, she advised the Corps members to be of good behavior when posted to their various places of primary assignment.
