FOR EVERY LEAVE YOU MUST OBTAIN A PASS - Adamu
The Assistant Director, Corps Welfare and Health, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu has described the NYSC scheme as a human-friendly scheme that sees to the welfare of corps members.
According to him, the scheme has a good welfare package that is always been improved upon.
He stated that corps members are entitled to leaves, allowances, healthcare, accommodation at the place of primary assignment provided for by the corps employers or money in lieu as stipulated in the NYSC Act.
Adamu made the statement while delivering an early morning lecture on corps welfare and health for members of platoon 1-5 of the 2019 Batch B stream II corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Monday 26th August.
However, Adamu added that corps members must obtain the permission of the state coordinator before embarking on any leave or journey.
He further enjoined the members to reciprocate the gestures of the scheme by putting in their best at their places of primary assignments.
