CORPS MEMBERS GIFT HOST SCHOOL A PODIUM
Corps members serving in Osogbo Government High School presented a podium to the school.
The presentation was made during the send off party organised for the 2018 Batch B stream II corps members by the school on Thursday 25th July 2019 in commemoration of their passing out.
The State Coordinator, Mr Adegoke Adewale, who was ably represented by the Head of Community Development Service NYSC Osun State, Mr Kayode Ola-Peters, appreciated the management of the school for maintaining a smooth and cordial working relationship with the corps members. According to him, the secretariat had not been called upon at anytime to come and settle any dispute between the school authority and corps members serving in the school.
He charged the outgoing corps members to have a success mentality, as he applauded them for fulfilling one of the objectives of CDS which is to give back to their host community. This according to him, they have achieved through their kind gesture of gifting the school with a podium.
While receiving the gift, the Principal of the school who was represented by Mrs Akinsola, commended the corps members for a job well done and also applauded them on the smooth discharge of their duties. Akinsola charged them to make the various skills they might have learnt during their Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) classes a money making venture as there are no white collar jobs anywhere.
Speaking further, she told the corps members to always remember they are valuable and never to look down on themselves.
The event also saw the appointment of a new corps coordinator in the school and also the presentation of gifts by the school management to the outgoing corps members.
