HUDAR RAHMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CELEBRATES A CORPS MEMBER WITH A PROMINENT PROJECT IN OSUN
On Friday, 26th July, during a passing out ceremony organized in recognition of the effort of four outgoing Corps members, the proprietor of Hudar Rahman international school, Mr. Youssouf Olanrewaju, honored, in a solemn manner, one of the corps members, Evbareke Osaigbovo Musa with state code OS/18B/3404, who built a visible podium coronated with a national flag inside the school which is located at Odo-Oba Area along Awosun Express Road, Ipetumodu.
This project has been executed as a personal project in line with the well known guidelines of the Community Development Service (CDS) which is one of the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC in which Corps members contribute positively to the development of their host communities throughout their service year.
Talking about what triggered the construction of a podium for assembly, Musa said that : "whenever the principal or a speaker addresses students on the assembly days, he stands on the same ground with the students. At times, he has to stand on a table. This caused distraction amongst the students which diminished the impact of an assembly."
He also noted that during assembly, students are usually told what is expected from them in terms of good behavior, dedication to class lessons etc. The counsel they receive is so paramount to their success in life that anything capable of distracting them should be brought to a minimal level.
According to him, he would have liked to do more than building a podium for his students had he received a buoyant financial support. He finally thanked his fellow corps members and some of his students who physically or in another way helped him to realise the project.
At the end of the event, the proprietor enjoined the students to properly take care of the podium and emulate the spirit of contributing positively to the development of their community.
