PETS CDS Group Sensitizes Children on Drug Abuse

The peer education trainers community development service of the National Youth Corp on Tuesday, 30th April,2019 held a sensitization on drug abuse at the Children Rehabilitation Center, Osogbo.
The president of the PETS CDS, Fafiolu Olufemi, enlightening the children about the CDS group said the PET CDS is aimed at sensitizing youths on drug abuse, sexual diseases and the dangers associated with their age and how to guide them against it
Speaking extensively on hard drugs and its consumption among youths, The PET CDS coordinator, Mr Adeleke Akintunde urged the children to avoid taking hard drugs and other harmful substances. He pleaded with them to stay away from hard drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances as they are harmful to their health.
Also speaking at the event, the assistant Local Government Inspector, Mr Ayedunu David appreciated the CDS group for bringing up the initiative to sensitive the children on the harmful effect of hard drugs.
He advised the children to adhere to their good morals and principles and also listen to the advice given to them by the corp members.
