PLATOON 7 GOES HOME WITH A DOUBLE WIN
The 2019 Batch 'A' variety nite which held on Saturday, 6th April, at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede kicked off in grand style with a large number of camp officials and corps members in attendance.
As the ceremony began in earnest, the contestants performed a beautiful mini mime, looking very attractive in their white tops and jeans as they danced to a popular Nigerian tune.
As a first appearance, all the contestants appeared in the customary white shirts and shorts typical of corps members and paraded amidst cheers of their platoon members.
Afterwards, the contestants came up once again in their NYSC ceremonial wears for the second appearance, with the final appearance seeing the contestants appearing in their elegant evening wears and suits.
The programme was not just a show of muscles and beauty, but contestants' level of knowledge and intelligence was also brought to the fore with the question and answer segment where questions related to the NYSC scheme and the Nigerian breweries who were the major sponsor of the programme.
After a great display of elegance, poise, and confidence from each contestants, the representatives of platoon 7 emerged winners of Mr Macho and Miss NYSC which amounted to a double win for the team.
While the winners emerged with the top prizes, everyone who contested was recognized and took home consolation prizes at the end of the evening.
