There was a stormy reaction by Editorial Board members as they observed what can be christened a "paradigm shift" during  their CDs meeting today at the Osun National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) secretariat, Omo west, Oshogbo.

The  group which is known for imparting  knowledge to its members through various means, in order to conquer the challenges they might  encounter after their service year, witnessed marathon lectures.

Speaking, a former corps member in the state, Mr.Solomon Odeniyi, lectured the board on the importance of journalism as a career, and the opportunities attached to the profession.

He emphasized that journalism should not be over looked because of its vast nature, which is open to opportunities, while stressing that it exposes individuals to great personalities in the society.

Enumerating his ordeal and achievements during his service year, Mr.Odeniyi said the 'Nysc' scheme was a preparatory ground for him to overcome the challenges in life, Stating that corps members should maximize  the positive side of the scheme and engage themselves with the internet to connect with organizations that give room for building individuals.

He however expressed gratitude  to the executives for availing him the privilege to share his experience with members of Editorial group which according to him, is the "eye of Nysc".

Also, the editor in chief, Mr.Oluwatosin Oludayo, in his lecture tagged "Living an effective life" said it was imperative to appreciate little things and be grateful to people who must have contributed to the life of individuals in one way or the other.

Mr Oludayo, who is known for his inspirational words, captured the heart of board members with motivating quotes that won him a standing ovation at the end of his lecture.

The section came to an end with special photography lecture by a board member, Mr.Omobolaji Oladipo, who painstakingly taught   board members on what it takes to be a good photographer.

Meanwhile, the Batch 'C' corps members on board were officially welcomed with a party organized to honor them.

The event recorded a massive turn up, with a warm reception from their senior colleagues who were on ground
to celebrate with them.
