AREGBESOLA DECLARES 2018 BATCH'C CAMP OPEN

A youth who disdains trainings will never go far in life for there is no gain without pain.
Therefore,when you learn to face the pains and rigors of today's training with optimism,you are positioning yourself for tomorrow's glory.

Governor State of Osun,Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola,gave the assertion at the  swearing-in ceremony of  2018 Batch'C corps members at the NYSC orientation camp on Thursday in Ede,State of Osun.

The Governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor of the State,Mrs.Otunba Titilaoye, expressed delights to be part of the official opening ceremony of the Batch'C orientation course that is bound to open a new chapter in the lives of fresh graduate in the country.

Ogbeni Aregbesola however applauded NYSC for the conduct of corps members who participated as Ad-hoc staff in the just concluded governorship election in the state.

The Governor credited the display exhibited by corps members as a huge success and charged those in camp to emulate  the attitude of their predecessors  serving in various local government of the State.

Also speaking,the commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Engagement,Hon.Adegboyega Funlake,encouraged the new corps members to adhere to instructions while on camp and should see the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development "SAED' training as an opportunity designed by NYSC to make youths to be creative and self reliance after their service year.

In his words,The State Coordinator of NYSC,Mr.Danjuma Attah,disclosed that the camp have in attendance a total number of 2129 registered corps members, comprising of 1035 males and 1094 females on ground.

He added that the corps members will join their counterparts who are already on ground for their   primary assignment across the state at the end of the orientation programme.

Mr.Attah used the forum to congratulate the governor-elect State of Osun,Alhaji Isiaka Oyetola, on his victory in the recently held governorship election in the state.

He therefore appreciated Alhaji Oyetola, for his philanthropy gesture in the donation of drug worth Two Million Naira to the state chapter of NYSC.

The State Coordinator further appeal  to the state government to support in the construction project of additional hostel that will enable them accommodate the increasing population of corps members in subsequent orientation camp.

If you could recall,the NYSC program was established in 1973,three years after the civil war in order to Foster National Unity in the country.
