CREATE DRUG ABUSE AWARENESS, NDLEA CHARGES CORPS MEMBERS

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA,Osun state chapter, has charged corps members to create awareness programmes on drug abuse in their host communities. 

The charge was made by the Head of Department Drug Demand Reduction Unit,  Dr.  Oyetunde Ofoha,  during a visit by Drug Free Quality Control Community Development group at the agency's headquarter in Osogbo.

Addressing the corps members,  Dr Oyetunde stated that the group should deem it fit to sensitize students and educate the public on the need to abstain from unwarranted drugs that will endanger their lives.

She noted that unwarranted drugs need to be avoided among youths because of it's havoc.

Dr Oyetunde further encouraged citizens to see drugs addicts as people that need proper attention from loved ones to help abstain from the act.

Also addressing the CDS group, the assistant state commander of operations unit in the agency, Mr Iliyasu Mani, noted that drug abuse formulates high threats in the lives of youths and adults globally and should be reduced to the bearest minimum.

Mr Iliyasu further stressed that the agency is doing everything within it's power to tackle the menace that has eaten deep in the society, while also appreciating the corps members for the visit.
