GOVERNOR AREGBESOLA TASKS CORPS MEMBERS ON NON-PARTISANSHIP
The Governor State of Osun Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola has tasked corps members on non-partisanship.
He said this during the swearing in ceremony of the Batch B, 2018 at the permanent orientation camp Ede, Osun state on the 26th day of July 2018.
The Governor in his speech charged the new Corps members to see their call for service as an opportunity to serve and to avoid acts capable of distorting the goals of the scheme.
He further reminded them to avoid all forms of gratification from politicians as the elections draw closer. He also congratulated the corps members for their orderly behaviour and enjoined them to continue in that same spirit.
Also speaking, the Honorable Commissioner for Empowerment and Youth engagement State of Osun, Mrs Adeboyega A. Folake in her address congratulated the corps members for successfully completing their academic requirements to be called up for service and charged them to make good use of their service year. She advised them to key into the laudible skills acquisition programme of the scheme and make good use of the orientation activities.
Meanwhile, the state coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Danjuma Attah, in his address stated that a total of 2292 corps members have successfully completed their registration process, which comprise of 1189(male) and 1103 (female). He also stated that 185 spill over of prospective corps members posted to Lagos.
He further implored the corps members to utilize this opportunity for the development of the nation at large.
