STATE COMMISSIONER TASKS NIGERIAN YOUTHS WITH HARD WORK AND COMMITMENT

The Commissioner for Women and youth engagement, state of Osun, Mrs Folake Adegboyega, has tasked Nigerian youths with hardwork and commitment, so as to enable wealth creation for a better and new Nigeria.

She made this known during the Osun youth economic summit organized by the purpose driven international church, Osogbo.

Mrs Adegboyega identified the new Nigeria project as a possible task and encouraged the youths to shun ethnicity and religion, but rather embrace unity.

She maintained that education is a necessary tool for the development of any nation and implored the youth to engage in a skill , adding that the responsibility of a new Nigeria lies in their hands.

She said " you must be well informed and involved, in order to make a difference in political and economic processes, as major stakeholders ".

In the same vein, A motivational speaker, Mr Fela Durotoye,  implored the youths to change their mindset towards leadership for a new Nigeria to emerge.

Decrying the level of ignorance of the youths, Mr Durotoye said they have roles to play and therefore urged them to encourage each other and stand as one in order to build a great nation.

A highlight of the event was presentation of portrait to former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, by a serving corps member in the state, Monday Obong.

Chief Obasanjo who was represented by the former secretary to the state government of Osun, Mr Kazeem Abiyo, while receiving the gift thanked  the corps member for the kind gesture and promised to deliver it to the elderstatesman.
