Current Spate Of Insecurity, Unemployment And Corruption, Hindrance To Nation's Growth; Propose A Modus Operandi That Can Help To Curb The Excesses And Stimulate Positive Revolution.

It is impossible delineate these three factors one from another as they share a symbiotic relationship. Although, not particularly a Nigerian phenomenon because it affects even advanced democracies, it is safe to say that the deleterious consequences of these factors vary disproportionately from one democracy or political system to another.

The effects of the multi-polarity of Nigeria’s structure is one that cannot be jettisoned when analysing the current state of the country’s economy. Nigeria’s socio-political structure is characterized by several security dangers which are severely revealed in  weak establishments of the state, corrupt practices, danger of severance, poverty, outrage, and harsh economic climate, which is fueled by the emergence and proliferation of fake news and distorted information. This is also because of the weak and delicate social structure, impoverished standard of living, and threat of disintegration among the societal classes in the country.

Furthermore, the failure of the Nigerian government can be linked to inherent political and systemic corruption which has bolstered into insecurity and unemployment for the younger generation. Today, no state in Nigeria is free from the scourge of these evils and as a result, there is the crippling of the country's institutions and structures.

The issue of insecurity, corruption and unemployment in Nigeria needs prompt response as the country is in a state of comatose. These trio are a threat to the country's existence and undermines the country's democratic processes. Thus, this article proposes three frameworks that can help in surmounting corruption, insecurity and unemployment- LUG. L stands for leadership, U stands for unity, while G stands for grass root development.

To combat these menace, the first most integral step is to have a good and strong leadership. According to Lee Kuan Yew, in his book titled "From First World to Third World", a strong leadership is the fulcrom of any state that wants to develop. The leader must be able to take apt decisions, which might not be palatable in the first instance. There is the need for foresight and vision in setting realistic agendas, which must be supervised to ensure compliance.

Apart from having a strong leader, there is the need for national integration and unity. Nigeria is a multi ethnic community with staunch rivarly between its ethnic blocks. Thus, in order to eradicate the operations of terrorists groups, unknown gun men, and kidnappers in the country, Nigeria must embrace the principle of unity in diversity. We must begin to look and focus more on the things that bind us together, rather than fixating on our ethic differences. We must also raise the banner of love as the guiding principle for living, regardless of tribal differences.

Finally, on the list is Grassroot development. Nigeria operates a system of government where a bulk of the power is concentrated in the center, wuth little for the grassroot. Whereas, in the order of things, the grassroot ought to be the closest to the people. Grassroot development csn be achieved through fiscal federalism, where states are given autonomy to create their streams of income, thereby, developming the potential of the grassroot. By doing this, there will be the creation of more employment opportunities as well as tge reduction of rural to urban migration of the youths in search for greener pastures.

Nigeria is a great country that has withdtood the test of time and the rage of the sea despite secessionist agitations and movements. Thus, everyone must come together to ensure that we win the battle and the fight against corruption, insurgency and unemployment in the country.
