Avoid Getting Queried During Your Service Year - Olawale

The Chief Inspector, Corps Discipline and Reward NYSC Osun State, Mrs Veronica Olawale has introduced the disciplinary and reward system of the NYSC to the 2022 Batch A Stream II corps members.

The lecture took place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Wednesday.

Olawale informed the corps members that the NYSC has a disciplinary arm called the Corps Disciplinary Committee (CDC). According to her, the CDC attends to issues of misbehaviour, discipline and punishment of corps members throughout the service year.

“Avoid getting queried during your service year,” Mrs Olawale admonished the corps members.

“Having a query in your file can have dire  consequences."

Offences which could result in a query by the CDC were highlighted to the corps members, some of which include travelling without permission, insubordination, immoral conduct, addressing the press without authorisation, defacing of NYSC uniform, among others.

Mrs Olawale also informed the corps members that the NYSC, alongside its disciplinary arm, has a reward system in place for meritorious service.

Corps members who undertake commendable and outstanding CDS projects could become eligible to win the Chairman's, State's and the Presidential Award.
