PLATOON 1 AND THREE CLINCH GUINNESS AWARD FOR MR MACHO, MISS NYSC

The representatives of Platoon 1 and Platoon 3 have clinched the Guinness star prize award for Mr Macho and Miss NYSC respectively. 

The Guinness award ceremony which took place during the Thursday Karaoke night at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, saw the 10 contestants for each of the categories represent the intro of the contest which took place on Saturday 5th March, 2022. 

Uwadione Fredrick Osazee from platoon 1 and Osagie-Ero Elizabeth Temi from platoon 3 clinched the star prize of washing machine as Mr Macho and Miss NYSC respectively. While the second and third positions for both categories went home with a DVD home theatre system and table gas double face burner respectively.   

The night also featured a presentation of consolation prizes to the 4th to 10th position. 

It was indeed a night of pomp, splendour and glamour as Ms Gold thrilled the audience to a karaoke performance. The night also featured dance and a fulfilled space of dancehall music. 

The State Coordinator, Mrs Winifred Shopeka, in her opening remarks, seized the moment to remind Corps Members of the need to continue to be of good conduct as the NYSC Orientation Exercise for the 2022 Batch A, Stream 1 draws to a close. In her usual endearing words, "my children remain the best. Know always that I love you scatter", she said.
