SHOKPEKA CHARGES CAMP OFFICIALS TO EXHIBIT DISCIPLINE IN THE DISCHARGE OF THEIR DUTIES

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mrs Winifred Shokpeka has charged the 2022 Batch A Stream 1 Camp officials to exhibit discipline, diligence and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Shokpeka gave the charge at the maiden meeting with camp officials on Tuesday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, ahead of the commencement of the 2022 Batch A Stream 1 Orientation Course.

She admonished them to embrace good ethics and ensure they portray the Scheme positively right from the reception of the Prospective Corps Members at the gate, down to the registration point, among other processes the PCMs must undergo.

She reminded the officials of the stance of the Director General of the NYSC on discipline and also on acts capable of marring the image of the Scheme. She stated that on no account should camp officials flout the rules guiding the conduct of officials during the Orientation Exercise.

Shokpeka stressed on the importance of team spirit and cooperation among officials in the achievement of the set goals and objectives of the three weeks Orientation Programme. She urged all present to work towards ensuring punctuality and effective time management in all camp activities.

The Camp Director, Mr Lawal Taofeek in his remarks enjoined all officials to recommit themselves to the task at hand and encourage one another to put in their best in their various beats. He told them to handle the PCMs with care and recieve them like they would their children and siblings. 

Other principal camp officials also lent their voices to call for synergy among officials in order to record good success at the end of the Programme. 

The vote of thanks at the end of the meeting was said by the Deputy Camp Director Alh. Wahid Ajayi who assured the management of the readiness of the camp officials to work hand-in-hand with the management through strict adherence to the spelt out rules and regulations guiding the conduct of officials as highlighted by the State Coordinator. 

Meanwhile, Camp Officials were seen earlier undergoing the mandatory COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic Test before being allowed in to the camp premises.
