I AM PROUD OF YOUR CONDUCT So FAR - Taofeek
The Camp Director for the 2022 Batch 'A' Stream 1 Orientation Programme, Alhaji Lawal Taofeek, has stated how proud he was of the Prospective Corps Members and how he anticipated for them to utilise the discipline, hard work, sacrifice and endurance that they will acquire all through the Programme in becoming the leaders they are been moulded into.
He made this known during the first morning meditation held on Thursday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
He stated further that transitioning from the academic world into the uniform world can be rigorous but yet not without its gains.
He enlightened the PCMs on the importance of the Orientation Course and on the need to adhere strictly to the dress code and other Camp rules at all times.
In addendum, he emphasized the notion that obedience is highly demanded on the campground; "sense of responsibility is a good quality of a prospective corps member", he said.
As he concluded, Taofeek encouraged all PCMs to be security conscious at all times, 'keep your valuables well', he said.
Taking of the Orientation commitment to be of good behaviour causing no one to go to bed miserably throughout the Course was directed by Mrs Funmi Okundaye, the Assistant Director, Press and Public Relations Unit.
Highlights of the meditation include teaching the National Prayer, State Anthem known as Ọmọlúabí Anthem and the NYSC Anthem by the ACPRO, Mrs Catherine Otemuyiwa, reading of the meditation on 'Thankfulness', and birthday felicitations.
The meditation was complimented with aerobics to keep course participants physically and mentally fit for the day's activities.
