EVERY DREAM HAS A CONTENT- SHOKPEKA TELLS CORPS MEMBERS
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator has told the 2021 Batch C Stream 2 corps members that every dream has a content and therefore they should be dedicated to their chosen skills in order to make their dreams come through.
Shokpeka made the statement while declaring the in-camp training of the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development programme closed at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Friday.
She told them not to take the skills they have learnt for granted but rather they should add it to their certificates in order to enhance their value and relevance in the society.
She urged them to be good at whatever they do, understand their strength and make use of it. She told them further that having multiple sources of income will go a long in helping them concretise their dreams.
Earlier, the Head of SAED, Mr. Aleshinloye Adeniyi encouraged the corps members to locate their trainers and continue their training in their different local governments after the orientation camp.
Highlights of the event include: skills competition in leather works, food processing and preservation, tie and die, beads and fascinators, Tailoring and knitting accompanied with exhibition of products by different corps members from the various skills as well as testimonies by corps members. The programme also featured a drama presentation by the SAED Ambassadors.
The event was concluded with announcement of winners in various skills, with each winner representing their platoon. In bead making, platoon 6 emerged in first place. Tie and dye, platoon 3, Leather works, platoon 8, Knitting, platoon 10, Tailoring, platoon 2, and Food processing, platoon 2 emerged winner again.
