PLATOON 5 EMERGES WINNER OF INTERPLATOON DRILLS COMPETITION
The Interplatoon drills competition for the 2021 Batch A stream II orientation course has ended on a high for the members of Platoon 5 as they emerged winners.
The Camp Commandant Capt. E. N Uzuzu in his opening address told Corps members that the essence of the competition is to ascertain the level of coordination, orderliness, dedication, and uniformity of the various platoons.
Again, he stated that the criteria for assessment of the platoons will include: general apperance, the slow match, quick match, open and close order, review order, mark time and halt. He urged them therefore to give their best to make the event a memorable one.
The competition had platoon 5, 8 and 1 come first, second and third position respectively while Platoon 6 came tenth and received an award of a long wooden spoon popularly known as the "Otondo spoon". Chukwudi Innocent from platoon 8 was awarded the best parade commander.
