Your Success in Life is Dependent on You- Adegoke

The NYSC State Coordinator , Mr Ayodele Adewale Adegoke has told the 2021 Batch A Stream II Corps members that their success in life is dependent on them.

He made this statement at the Multipurpose hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Tuesday during the SAED Opening ceremony.

According to him, the SAED is the perfect platform for young individuals to succeed and hardworking people will work their way to the top.

Furthermore, he encouraged the corps members to embrace the program and utilize it well enough

to be able to combat the challenges of unemployment in the country.

The Head of Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Mrs Femi-Ajayi Oluwafunmilayo has called on Corps members to secure a future for themselves now that they are still young.

She encouraged them to explore their potentials with the needed push to create wealth for themselves.

Again, she said that instead of corps members being stranded due to the unavailability of job after their service, they should acquire skills from the SAED program that would sustain them and also make them employers instead of employees.

In like manner, a representative of the National Directorate of Employment, Mr Rasak Oyekanmi said that corps members are to know the difference between entrepreneurship and running a business, and therefore equip themselves with entrepreneurial skills such as being creative, having an innovative mind, maintaining good human relations and above all possessing good leadership quality.

In the same vein, the monitoring officer for the program, Mr Kayode Ola-Peters from the Southwest Area Office, Osogbo has expressed his satisfaction with the level of preparation from members of the SAED committee.

Correspondingly, Mr Solomon Akporkpokpor of Classic Infotech Osogbo, in his motivational speech, elaborated on self employment and how to set up goals, take risks and in the same spirit take responsibility for whatever the outcome may be.

He further urged corps members to build relationships, try not to look down on anyone in their PPA and wherever they find themselves, adding to that, he disclosed that to get to one’s destination, one needs a ship which could be friendship, courtship among others.

During the course of the lecture, testimonies of past Corps members who cut their teeth in business was given.
