WHO APPLAUDS NYSC OSUN FOR EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE
The COVID-19 team of the World Health Organization (WHO), has rated the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, high in regards to her compliance with COVID-19 protocols.
The representatives of the organization, Dr. Ojediran Shobowale and Dr. Coker Olayemi who paid an unscheduled visit to the orientation camp lauded the scheme for enforcing strict compliance to the protocols right from the gates.
Dr. Ojediran in her statement expressed delight seeing the numerous handwashing points outside and within the camp, the disinfectant tunnel and provision of hand sanitisers alongside the hand wash points. She further commended the management of the scheme for enforcing the wearing of nose masks compulsorily for course participants.
In concluding, she encouraged all corps members to keep up with observing the protocols and ensure they stay safe.
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has expressed delight at the rating and commendation of the WHO team and assured the team of the scheme's continous commitment to the eradication of the Corona virus.
According to him, the scheme will continue to ensure strict compliance with the protocols of the NCDC in order to safeguard the lives of corps members and all course participants.
Earlier, the Head of NCDC team on camp, Mr Fafioye Rasaq Olugbenga encouraged corps members to receive the vaccine as it is a sure way to end the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world.
Furthermore, he encouraged all present to stick to one type of vaccination because the types available are of different compositions hence the need to stick to one for effective result.
Furthermore, he encouraged all to have trust and confidence in the Astrazeneca vaccine because it is meant to heal and not to kill.
