NYSC OSUN STATE COORDINATOR CHARGES CAMP OFFICIALS TO BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS
The Nysc Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has charged all camp officials to be security conscious at all times even as the orientation camp opens for the 2021Batch A Stream II exercise.
He made this statement on Monday during the first meeting with camp officials held at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede which served as a time of appraisal for the previous orientation held as well as a guide for the new orientation exercise.
According to him, observation posts will be mounted at strategic positions on camp to improve the quality of security. In like manner, he said that the use of staff Identity cards is compulsory which will help in the easy identification of one another. This is so because the level of insecurity is alarmingly high in the country hence the need for adequate protection.
Stressing on security, Adegoke enjoined all members of staff to restrict movements outside the camp and that they can only leave the camp residence with due permission from the relevant authorities to ensure the accountability of all on camp.
While addressing the menance of the global pandemic, Mr Adegoke spoke on the need to obey all COVID-19 protocols at all times as that is the only way to successfully curtail the pandemic. He urged everyone present to ensure strict obedience to the guidelines to avoid embarrassment.
"Always ensure you wash your hands with soap and running water, apply adequate quantity of sanitizer and do not forget to put on your nose masks" he added.
Furthermore, he stated that a total of 1900 corps members have been deployed to Osun State and some disloged from lagos and therefore called on officials to treat them with love and respect.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Camp Director, Mrs Okpalifo Obiageli called for undivided support from all as no one can perform well in isolation.
She encouraged officials to submit to constituted authority and be ready to comply with the laid down rules and guidelines spelt out by the scheme for the success of the program.
Speaking further, she encouraged members of staff to observe good hygiene for the health of everyone. She ended by wishing all the participants a fruitful orientation exercise.
