The Assistant Director Corps Inspection and Monitoring, Mr Jimmy Fatogun has on Monday charged the 2021 Batch A Stream 2 Corps members to be good ambassadors of NYSC and to be well behaved while discharging their duties at their places of Primary Assignment.
He highlighted the importance of the Corps Monitoring and Inspection Branch. He explained that the Branch was created to inspect, monitor and check the level of compliance of corps members to the guidelines put in place by the scheme to ensure their successful and active participation in all the cardinal programs of the scheme. The Branch equally monitors corps members committment in carrying out their duties at their places of primary assignment.
Speaking further, Mr Fatogun described the Branch as the police force of the NYSC as they’re vested with the power to ensure Corps members abide strictly by the rules across their service year.
He advised corps members to ensure that they imbibe the virtues of discipline and hard work at their various PPAs. He advised them to read all available NYSC publications given to them to get more information about the scheme and should always consult with their local government inspectors should they have questions.
In conclusion, he appealed to all Corps Members present to always be true to the oath they swore to even as they progress through this stage of life.
