MR ADEGOKE BRIEFS PCMS, ADMONISHES THEM ON THE CORE VALUE OF DISCIPLINE

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adewale Adegoke has admonished the 2021 Batch A Stream 1Prospective Corps members (PCMS) to imbibe the culture of discipline as indiscipline is very dangerous and its repercussions is usually very unbearable.

He stated this while briefing the prospective corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Sunday.

He emphasized the need to do the right thing no matter how painful or inconvenient it may be at the moment as this will always help them to achieve their set life's goals. Full participation in the activities of the scheme is one of the best ways to show how prepared we are to face life battles.

Mr Adegoke stressed the need to always pay maximum attention to the task at hand.

“ if you disobey or behave rudely towards camp officials we will try you in camp court and may decamp you if necessary.”  

Speaking further, he encouraged PCMS to always meet NYSC officials if they are facing any challenge or have doubts in their hearts.

“We stand in loco-parentis to you, therefore do not be afraid to approach us if you have any problem. We will try to help you to the best of our ability.”   

Subsequently, he enlightened them on the four cardinal programs of the scheme: the orientation, primary assignment, community development service and winding up/passing out and added that their active participation in these programs is what qualifies them for the national certificate of service at the end of their service year .

Furthermore, he said postings and relocations are free and they should report anybody that tries to extort money from them for posting or relocation.

In the end he insisted that no form of unionism is allowed on camp and PCMS will only be allowed to make associations in their platoons.
