The Assistant Director Deployment and Relocation, NYSC Osun State, Mr Taofeek Lawal has told the 2021 Batch A stream 1 corps members that filling in false details in documents is fraudulent and is punishable by law.

He stated this during the NYSC lecture on deployment and relocation at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ede on Monday.

In his lecture, he  informed the corps members on  the importance of filling in correct information during documentation. 

"Wrong information on your documents can create serious problems for you in the future. So be careful what you fill" he added.

The lecture was aimed to sensitise the batch on the modul-operandi of the  Deployment and Relocation Branch of the NYSC.

They were informed that the Deployment and Relocation Branch of the scheme is responsible for not only relocation and deployment but also for posting Corps members to their various places of Primary Assignment. 

Other roles performed by this arm includes; issuing of certificate of National service and keeping records of Corps members.

Furthermore, they were informed about the grounds for relocation which  are; health grounds, supported with a valid medical report and marital grounds for married female corps members.

Speaking on the posting to the place of  primary assignment, Mr Taofeek informed them that their posting will be based on factors such as the needs of the State and their  course of study.

He also warned them to never induce a rejection  from their place of primary Asignment as it is a punishable offence. 

In concluding the lecture, Mr Lawal informed the corps members that relocation and deployment are processes that are completely free of charge; and also warned them to be wary of those who may want to extort them for the purpose same.
