PLATOON 4 AND 8 EMERGE WINNERS OF MISS NYSC AND MR MACHO CONTEST AFTER AN ENTHRALLING CONTEST

 

The Representative of platoon 4, Ossi Yvonne Chinelo and Anamemene Somtochukwu Joshua have emerged winners of the Miss NYSC and Mr Macho Contest respectively for the 2020 Batch B Stream 2 Orientation course.

The enthralling contest took place on Saturday, at the NYSC Permanent Orientation camp, Ede.

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke who spoke during the contest, informed the corps members that the variety night is part of the social activities on camp channeled towards building the self esteem and confidence of participants and also aid them in discovering their potentials.

He further commended the participants for being part of the self developing contest as he urged them to endeavor to promote the image of the scheme positively and keep soaring high.

In addition, he reminded the corps members to be mindful of the COVID-19 protocols and ensure strict compliance even as they enjoy the programme.  

He equally appreciated the principal camp officials present at the contest as he officially declared the variety night open. 

The programme featured the Miss NYSC and Mr Macho contest by the representatives of the ten platoons who came out in their best 'bib and tucker' for the introduction, first, second and third appearance and the fourth round where  their mental capabilities were tested in a question and answer session. The programme also featured musical performances and comedy.

Also present at the event were the camp director, Mr Aleshinloye Adeniyi;  the camp commandant, Lt E.B Kalu, who was one of the judges; the resident officer 1 and chief judge, Mrs Florence Adewale and other camp officials.
