"SAY NO TO DRUGS AND YES TO LIFE"-NDLEA ENLIGHTENS CORPS MEMBERS
The Representative of National Drug Law enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Mr Dauda Daniel has told the 2020 Batch B stream 1B corps members to say No to drug abuse as this pose a threat to their lives and those around them.
He stated this while addressing the corps members during the NDLEA lecture at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede, On Thursday.
According to Mr Dauda, drug abuse has so many underlying consequences ranging from physical damage, social and psychological damage and many others.
" There is no positive side of drug abuse, it is highly dangerous to your health", he said.
Speaking further, Mr Dauda admonished the corps members to desist from the drug and be an element of positive change in the country by sensitizing the masses, friends and families on the consequences of drug abuse.
In Addition, he advised the corps members to avoid friends or any relationship that encourages them to venture into drug abuse, stressing that such relationship is destructive.
He finally told the corps members that if they know anyone who is a drug addict and willing to change, that they should endeavor to assist the person by taking him or her to the necessary medical personnel or psychologists that will aid in rehabilitating them.
