REPRESENTATIVES OF PLATOON 1& 4 EMERGES WINNER OF MR MACHO AND MISS NYSC RESPECTIVELY
Representatives of Platoon 1 and 4, Chibuike Vincent Unachukwu and Henry Ini-Obong Ime has emerged winner of the Mr Macho and Miss NYSC Contest respectively for the 2020 Batch "B" stream 1B orientation course
The enthralling contest took place on Saturday at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede.
The Camp Director, Mr Felix Ayibiowu who spoke during the contest told the corps members that Variety Night is part of the social activities on camp aimed at building the self confidence of the participants and give them opportunity to see the best part of them.
He encouraged the corps members to participate in activities that will develop their mental capacity, confidence level and keep them soaring high.
In Addition, he told the Corps members to observe the COVID-19 preventive protocols while cheering the contestants, he then declares the Variety Night open.
Subsequently, the contest featured the Mr Macho and Miss NYSC representatives of the eight platoons who came out in the various regalia for the introduction, first and second appearance respectively. Thereafter, their mental capabilities was in a question and answer session.
The unbiased Judges who observed critically and undistracted deemed it important to crown platoon 1 and 4 Mr Macho and Miss NYSC respectively for their exceptionality.
Other highlights of the event includes; dance and musical performance by some of the corps members.
In addition, all contestants went away smiling as gifts such as double faced gas coker table top and pressing iron, table top, standing fan were given to the first, second and third place respectively for both categories, while blenders for ladies, hair clippers for men were given as consolation prizes to the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8 position respectively.
Also present at the event, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, Camp commandant; TBA Umole, Head of NDLEA Mr Dauda Daniel amongst others.
