OKUNDAYE EDUCATES CORPS MEMBERS ON THE FUNCTIONS OF PPRU

 

The Head of Publicity and Protocol NYSC Osun State, Mrs Funmi Okundaye has enlightened the corps members on the roles and functions of the Press and Public Relations Unit of NYSC. 

She enlightened the corps during the NYSC lecture held at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, on Monday.

According to Mrs Okundaye, the Press and Public Relations Unit is responsible for the positive projection of the NYSC to the public, as well as the communication of information through the media.

"The department is solely responsible for overseeing the NYSC programmes and activities; regular sensitization of corps members; videos and photographic documentation; issuance of identity cards; facilitation of online chats and overseeing publications", she added. 

She further encouraged the corps members on the need to protect and maintain the image of NYSC scheme in order to keep fostering National Unity and integration. 

In conclusion, she advised the corps members to desist from fake news and be mindful of what they post on social media.
