CAROLINE EDUCATES CORPS MEMBERS ON YORUBA LANGUAGE
The head of Gender in NYSC Osun State, Mrs Anjorin Caroline has educated the 2020 Batch B stream 1B corps members on Yoruba language and urged them to put it to practice in order for them to communicate effectively with their host community during their service year.
She stated this at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede, on Wednesday.
Speaking at the lecture, she told the corps members that the only means to easily adapt and communicate freely with their host community is language which is a means of communication, as she enjoins them to take it as priority.
She also assured the corps members that Yoruba language is not a difficult language to learn, stressing that the people of Yoruba are always willing to teach the language regardless of where you are coming from.
In conclusion, she taught the corps members the basic Yoruba languages such as greetings in Yoruba language, name in Yoruba, days of the week in Yoruba, and many others.
