AYIBIOWU ENLIGHTENS CORPS MEMBERS ON TEACHING AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

 

The Camp Director 2020 batch 'B' stream 1B, Mr Felix Ayibiowu has enlightened the 2020 Batch B stream 1B corps members on teaching and teaching methodology in order for them to carry out their teaching duties effectively at their various places of primary assignment. 

He Stated this during the NYSC lectures at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede, On Monday. 

According to  Ayibiowu, for you to be a good teacher, you must endeavor to have a good lesson plan/note to avoid unnecessary mistakes while teaching. 

"if you fail to plan, you plan to fail", he added. 

He further stated that a good teacher must know his/her students in order to understand their strengths and weaknesses and work towards building them for better tomorrow. 

Subsequently, he emphasized on the various teaching methods which includes; discussion method, route learning, lecture method, interview method, material instructional method and many others. 

In conclusion, he told the corps members that a good teacher must know more than the students, as he enjoins them not to relent in making research and learning everyday for more knowledge.
