Olororuwo of Ororuwo Enjoins Corps Members to Respect Culture and Tradition Regardless of their Belief
His Royal Majesty, Oba Qamarudeen Adeyemi Adeyanju, the Olororuwo of Ororuwo land, has enjoined the Batch B Stream 1A corps members to always help in the promotion of culture and tradition and also respect the culture and tradition of other people regardless of their belief.
The Oba Stated this during the traditional lecture at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC Osun state on Monday.
During the lecture, the Oba called on the Corps members to always engage in activities that will promote the unity of the country and not promote disunity and dishonesty.
In addition, Oba Qamarudeen enlightened the corps members on the way of life of the Yoruba people. According to him, Yoruba People are accommodating and predisposed to strangers. They equally love those who respect and treat elders well.
Oba Qamarudeen took the corps members through the history, marriage process, naming, dressing, music, among others, of the Yorubas.
Conclusively, he implored the them to get rid of prejudice and learn to love and appreciate others beliefs.
