DSS Enjoins Prospective Corps Members to be Vigilant and Security Conscious

 

The Deputy Director on Security Enforcement, Department of State Service Osun State Command,  Mr Damjay Jiyaba, has admonished the Batch B Stream 1A prospective corps members to be security conscious and always be vigilant of their environment. The admonition was given on Friday during the security lectures for platoons 1-3 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, Osun State. 

Addressing the prospective corps members, Mr Damjay urged them to always be watchful of their environment stressing that it will not only be vital to them but to those around them. 

"Safety for one is safety for all" he stated. Speaking further, he assured the prospective corps members that Osun State is a peaceful State and adapting to way of life of people here is very easy and interesting. 

However, he enjoined the  members to be mindful of their comments on political issues and other security threatening topics.

"Political talks always lead to disagreement between both parties, you must avoid it at your various places of primary assignment and also avoid engaging yourself in communal crises" he added.

Conclusively, he implored the prospective corps members to shun vices that would undermine the country's security such as cyber crime, robbery, cultism, among others.
