NYSC Osun State Discharges 1050 Corps Members Of The 2019 Batch C Service Year

The National Youth Service Corps Osun State has on Friday discharged 1050 corps members as they successfully completed the one year mandatory service.

This was made known by the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke while monitoring the distribution exercise at Ede and Olorunda. According to him, the set performed excellently well as they had only a record of 1 extension and 1 abscondment.

Adegoke charged the corps members to continue to remain good ambassadors of the scheme and the society while maintaining diligence and hardwork. He urged them further to avoid shortcuts in their quests for success but in all they do they should ensure they contribute positively to nation building.

He further admonished the corps members to utilize the knowledge inculcated in them before and during their service year to develop the society thereby becoming assets and not liabilities to their families and society.

Adegoke added that the distribution of the certificates could not take place on Wednesday, 28th October inline with the circular from the Directorate Headquarters due to the curfew imposed in the state and therefore had to be shifted to Friday as Thursday following the lifting of the curfew was a national public holiday.

Furthermore, he congratulated the corps members and prayed that they excel in their future endeavours.

The distribution took place in the 30 local government areas and one area office with the management team and other senior staff of the scheme supervising the distribution.

The passing out of the corps members was without the usual ceremonial parade which was in adherence to the COVID-19 preventive measures which was strictly followed.
