Adegoke, Others Shower Encomiums On Babayemi As Nysc Osun State Sends Off Head Of Stores
The NYSC Osun State Secretariat has on Wednesday send off the Head of Stores, Mr Babayemi Folajimi who was recently transferred to head the store of the scheme in Lagos State. He was the head of stores in Osun State from 2017 until his transfer in September 2020.
The state coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke while delivering his speech at the low-key sendoff ceremony described Mr Babayemi as a fine officer of the scheme who knows his onus. He further described him as a disciplined and principled man who has brought about a lot of positive changes to the store in the state.
"Mr Babayemi deserves an elaborate celebration but the prevailing situation in the country made us adopt this low-key celebration to celebrate a worthy officer. Mr Babayemi's skillfulness, resourcefulness and productivity will be greatly missed by us all" he added.
Describing Babayemi further, other management staff of the scheme present at the ceremony commended the dutifulness, discipline and humility exhibited by the head of stores during his sojourn in the state. They all with unanimity showered encomiums on the outgoing head of stores each recounting their encounter with the officer describing it as a memorable one filling them with nostalgia even as he leaves the state for Lagos State.
In his response, the outgoing head of stores appreciated the state coordinator and staff of the scheme in the state for deeming it fit to organise the sendoff for him. According to him, the state is very unique in many ways. He described the state coordinator and staff of the scheme in the state as loving and very hospitable people.
"Since I came to the state, I have seen so much love, care and commitment among the staff and even corps members. I want to encourage you all to keep the flag flying. Let's continue to do good to all and sundry.
"I so much appreciate the state coordinator for being there for me at all times, and not only for me but for other staff of the scheme in the state. You're a father indeed and I have learnt so much from you in the little time I have spent with you" he said.
Babayemi equally appreciated the management team describing the bond of friendship and unity that exists among the staff as worthy of emulation by other states. He concluded by calling on staff to continue to support the state coordinator in achieving the mandate of the scheme in the state and to always ensure they work towards maintaining the good name and ranking of the state in the NYSC family nationwide.
