ADEGOKE SENDS OFF NEWLY TRANSFERRED STAFF AMIDST PANDEMIC
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has sent off seven members of staff who were recently transferred to the NYSC Southwest Area office amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The ceremony which took place on Wednesday in Osogbo was observed with strict compliance to the pandemic prevention specifications.
While welcoming the staff, Mr Adegoke eulogised the resilience and resourcefulness of the officers during their sojourn in the state. According to him, the officers have indeed proven themselves worthy of the higher call. He described the officers as hard-working and dedicated who deserve to be appreciated and celebrated.
"We limited the number of staff in attendance to the management team in order not to default from the number specification of the NCDC for all gatherings in view of the pandemic. On behalf of myself, management, staff and corps members serving in the state, we appreciate your input and impart during the course of your service in the state.
"I urge you to keep alive the spirit and mindset with which you discharged your duties in Osun. I want you to deploy a greater level of professionalism and expertise in the discharge of your duty and continue to make the state from which you all were selected proud".
Appreciating the kind gesture of the state coordinator and staff of the scheme, Chief Fadairo Tunde, the former AD HRM, who spoke on behalf of himself and the newly transferred staff, appreciated the state coordinator for his fatherly role in leading the scheme in the state in the right direction. He reiterated his commitment to continue to support the state as according to him the success of the scheme in the state is tantamount to the success of the Area office.
Chief Fadairo further used the avenue to admonish staff to learn to invest in people as "we all will only be remembered for what we have done. Posterity will always remember everyone either for the good we have done or the bad" he said.
"We are one in NYSC. We meet to part and part to meet. I, therefore, urge my colleagues to support the state coordinator the more. Learn to adopt the principle of individual differences as no two people are exactly alike" he added.
The officers include; Chief Fadairo Tunde, AD HRM; Mr Kayode Ola-Peter, AD CDS; Mrs Salawu of CDS branch; Mr Aderogba Adeolu, ALGI Irewole; Mrs Oyedeji of PRS branch; Mr Pelumi Oluleye and Mr Segun Adeyemi of CDS and Relocation and Deployment branch respectively.
The ceremony was well attended by the management staff and featured the exchange of gifts, among others.
