1411 CORPS MEMBERS TO PASS OUT BY THURSDAY IN OSUN

By Caleb Joshua

About 1411 corps members of the NYSC 2019 Batch 'B' Stream 2 are expected to pass out on Thursday with 7 others embarking on an extension of service alongside 2 abscondees.

This was disclosed by the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr. Adewale Adegoke, today, during a live Interview on OSBC TV's 'AM Cafe'.

Mr. Adewale noted that the exercise will last for 10 days while corps members have been urged to carry out the precautionary measures advised by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

According to the State Coordinator, the exercise will be on low-key as corps members are expected to get their certificates at their local government levels while noting that modalities have been put in place to avoid gathering of crowd.

While reacting to questions regarding the lackadaisical attitude of some corps members to Places of Primary Assignments, Mr. Adewale noted that he had embarked on several impromptu visits to corps members' PPAs to check corps members' promptness to work.

He stressed that corps members found wanting are sanctioned accordingly with some having their service year extended.

Speaking on staff who collude with corps members, Mr. Adewale made it known that the Director-General has zero tolerance for such acts as any staff found to collude with corps members have been and will be sanctioned.

He however charged corps members to prioritize the skill acquisition programme of the scheme (SAED).
