Adegoke Meets Osun CP, Seeks More Security for Corps Members
By Kayode AYENI
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Osun State has said that the scheme needs more security for corps members in the state.
The State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele A. Adegoke made this known while on a courtesy visit to the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, Osun State, Mr Undie J. Adie.
Mr Adegoke, who led other officials of the scheme to the police command expressed gratitude to the command for always aiding the NYSC activities in the state while stating that the visitation becomes necessary so as to seek more security for corps members in the state.
He further urged the Police boss not to take his foot off security pedal and always update the scheme with the contact details of Divisional Police officers (DPOs) to ensure adequate security of the Corps members within the state.
Responding to this, the Osun State Commissioner of police Undie J. Adie stressed that the NYSC remains special to the Police and the Police will continue to take corps members security with high priority.
Undie also reiterated the readiness of the force in ensuring and supporting corps members orientation activities in the state. "Men of the Police Force will always be on the ground to facilitate easy movement of Corps members within the state", he said.
He, however, urged corps members facing issues with Police officers to always notify their State Coordinator for prompt resolution of such issues.
