LIFE AFTER SCHOOL

Life after school is the most unpredictable stage of every undergraduate, graduate, and corps member out there.

This stage comes with pressure that if managed properly ends with treasure, but if it goes otherwise , you are stuck with seizure.

This stage comes with pressure from family, friends, and society. The society wants to see what you learnt in school, you have to prove it or you remain useless in their eyes.

The big question remains "WHAT NOW"?

Many got stuck in this stage because they couldn't overcome the challenges that comes with it. Stage that brings psychological, social, economic, spiritual and physical challenges.

Some failed in this stage because they listened to that scammer who told them to bring money to get a job.

Some failed in this stage because they listened to that fake pastor/prophet who told them to bring money for prophecies and prayers that will get them job.

Some failed here because they listened to their friends who told them ritual is the key.

Some failed here because they relied on government.

Some failed here because they want a white collar job.

Some failed here because they want to "get rich quick".

Some failed here because they depended on their certificate.

Now, " WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD ?"

We are born strong, we are born to survive, we are born into struggles.  But many fail not because they did not try but because they did not "plan".

" A fool with a plan is better off than a genius without a plan " - Boone Pickens.

"If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail" - Benjamin Franklin.

A good plan is vital for every human striving for survival and success.
A good plan breeds a good clan.
This plan does not only affect your economic life, but your relationship and marital life as well.

"WHAT PLAN DO YOU HAVE FOR US?"
The society will ask you, family will ask you, friends will ask you, even your bank account will ask you.

WHAT IS A GOOD PLAN?
A good plan is knowing what you love doing and working towards gaining from it. It could be entertainment, sewing, comedy, drawing or any other skill.  Work towards making what you love doing grow and watch your self grow out of poverty.

Creativity is also one important factor to embrace, if you want to survive after school. The school have taught you what they think you should know, it is left for you to put it in practice.

Think of what the society or your immediate environment is lacking. Work towards creating what will help your immediate environment or the society you live in and help your pocket as well.

"Less dependence on government is one of the keys to success especially in Nigeria."

No one ever made it to 'Billionaire' circle by depending only on monthly salary. "Think problem do solution"!.

Versatility is also one key here, how versatile are you?
If they close your opportunity now how else will you survive?
If there is no white collar job what else can you do?
If there is no oil company job, what other things can I do to survive?
That's a big question we should ask ourselves. Those who were able to participate in NYSC orientation programme experienced it. The Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme is not just a programme is a reality.
Nigeria is a country where her citizens survives without  government or political help.

Skills can save you from pills
Get a skill today be a king/queen of your own tomorrow.

The government have failed us
Please do not fail yourself
You can be billionaire tomorrow.

Take that step
Stand up because "NOW YOUR STRUGGLE CONTINUES"!
