Boluwaduro Corps Members Sensitizes Students on Sex Education

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) CDS group, Boluwaduro Local Government has sensitized scores of students on the importance of sex education.
The team of corps members while visiting St. Thomas Government Middle School, Otan Ayegbaju, Osun State enlightened the pupils on the topic “Sex Education: Necessary Skill To Be Saved From Pedophiles”.
During the program, the facilitators gave a comprehensive introduction about the relationship between sex education and pedophiles while exposing the consequences as it results to sexual abuse against children.
Meanwhile, one of the speakers, Miss Tina Eheosa educated the folks on the magnitude of privacy when it comes to some parts of the body as this makes them less vulnerable to pedophiles who may tend to abuse them sexually. She further urged them practice ‘body boundaries’ which restrict others except their parents or medical personnel to touch sensitive parts of their bodies.
Subsequently, a member of the team, Miss Ganiyat Bello also advised the students to rebuke any older neighbors or friends who tag them as wives, perhaps as husbands too, as this exposes them to risks of sexual assaults at tender age.
Lastly, the teachers encouraged the students to practice everything they have been taught, then showing their immense appreciation to the CDS group for the passion to invest into the future of the children.
