Without Education, there is no National Development”- SUBEB Boss
The Coordinator of Middle Schools of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) of the state of Osun, Dr. (Mrs) Oladimeji who was ably represented by the Deputy Director of SUBEB of the State of Osun, Mr. T. A. Tiamiyu has addressed 8 Government Middle School students and the Corps members of Education Developement CDS Group (EDG) on the the role of education in nation building.
This he did at the inter-school quiz competition for Government middle schools within Olorunda local government. The competition held on the 12th of November, 2019 at the Olorunda Local Government Secretariat Multipurpose Hall, Igbona, Osogbo, Osun State.
In his address, he stated that " Everyone in the country deserves to be educated and education has a great impact in our lives as it makes us make great development in the community and country as a whole". He also advised the students and corps members to contribute in the development of our nation.
Meanwhile, the president of Education Development Cds Group Olorunda Local Government, Miss Olawore Marvelous during her Opening remark said that the purpose of the inter-school quiz competition was to foster unity amongst students and schools within the Local Government.
Unity Government Middle School came first in the inter-school quiz competition, with C.A.C Government Middle School 1 and Adele Government Middle School taking the second and third positions respectively. The students were awarded with gifts from the Education Development CDS Group which was presented by the Deputy Director of SUBEB, Mr. T.A Tiamiyu.
In an interview with the press, the General secretary of Education Development CDS Group of Olorunda Local Government, Mr. Padomu Innocent, advised that "the community should embrace education and see education as a tool for national development".

If only we could invest more in education...I'm impressed with this development though.
