NYSC Enlightens Corps Members On Deployment, Relocation and ICT Matters

Officials of the National Youth Service Corps, Osun State have enlightened the 2019 Batch C stream II corps members on deployment, relocation and ICT matters. The enlightenment which was carried out by the Assistant Director, Deployment and Relocation Branch, Mr Lawal Toafeek and the Head of ICT, Mrs Aguda Adebola, exposed corps members to their first NYSC lecture on camp.
Mr Lawal took the members through the functions of the branch which include; registration of prospective corps members, posting in accordance with the posting policy of the scheme, relocation and issuance of certificates at the end of the service year.
The Assistant Director enjoined them to be Nigerians committed to doing the right thing.
" do not tender fake papers because you want to relocate and do not incur strange illnesses on yourselves or give your opponents a weapon with which to attack you in the future especially for those of you with political ambition" he said.
Lawal further expounded the criteria for relocation, factors and areas influencing the posting of corps members in the State and the importance of filling the certificate format correctly as according to him, " your Certificate of National Service will bear whatever you write on your certificate format".
Equally, the Head of ICT NYSC Osun State, Mrs Aguda Adebola sensitised corps members on the NYSC official website and the NYSC registration portal, which according to her can be accessed directly from their android phones. She further enlightened the members on the various functions that can be performed on the registration portal.
Aguda further called on them to embrace the opportunites presented by scheme to effect name corrections and other corrections within the purview of the ICT in the state.
Correspondingly, Mr Felix Ayibiowu, the Head of Lectures, spelt out some of the camp rules to corps members as spelt out in their service year guide.
