The Head Community Development Service Branch, NYSC Osun State, Mr. Kayode Ola-Peters has advised corps members to do common things Uncommonly well.
Kayode gave this advise while delivering a lecture on community development service at the ongoing 2019 Batch C stream I orientation course in Osun State.
Enlightening the platoon 1-5 corps members of the Batch on CDS, Kayode said, "Community Development Service is the third cardinal program of the NYSC and goes hand in hand with the second cardinal programme which is the Primary Assignment. It is a platform through which corps members develop their host communities".
The types of CDS identified during the lecture include: individual, group and collaborative CDS, which primary objective is development.
He admonished corps members to be in attendance at every weekly CDS group meeting and comply strictly with the dress code while individual CDS projects can take any form depending on the felt needs of the community.
The branch further sensitized corps members on the U-report and the need to enlist as U-reporters and V-reporters. Thereafter, a U-report team was inaugurated to effectively enlist other corps members during the orientation programme.
