CAMP OFFICIALS, CORPS MEMBERS ACKNOWLEDGE GOD'S FAITHFULNESS
To mark the successful end to the 2019 Batch B Stream 2 Orientation Course, the Christian Community of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun State, came out in their numbers to show gratitude to God Almighty as they gathered in their congregations for Thanksgiving Mass by the NACC and Thanksgiving Service for the NCCF on Sunday 8th September 2019.
In attendance were the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, Camp Director, Mrs Funmi Okundaye, the Resident Officer, Mrs Adeniran Julie and other principal camp officials came as living sacrifices, keying into the thanksgiving.
The State Coordinator, Mr Adegoke while receiving the Osogbo Catholic Archbishop, Bishop John Oyejola in his office at Orientation Camp, appreciated the Osogbo Diocese for always being there for corps members deployed to the State.
The Archbishop, while delivering his Homily, appreciated the management of the scheme in the State for the unifying role they play in the nation. He also commended corps members for exhibiting a positive attitude towards their call to national service. Further in his Homily, he admonished the corps members to always differentiate between their needs and their wants and focus on meeting their needs and not their wants.
Meanwhile, the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke while delivering his charge appreciated God for a hitchfree orientation course which according to him is the first phase of the service year. He also appreciated the Archbishop of Osogbo Catholic Diocese, Bishop John Oyejola and Dr Samuel Oginni who ministered at NACC and NCCF respectively for honouring the invitation of the corps members to minister to their spiritual needs. He also advised that corps members should be focused on their needs and not their wants as charged by the ministers and that they should serve God with their all knowing fully well that He cares for them.
He further charged them to give cheerfully to God's work, citing instances from the scripture to back up his advise. He finally admonished the corps members to endeavor to finish well even as they have started well.
