DSS CHARGES CORPS MEMBERS TO AVOID ROUTINE
A Principal Staff Officer of the Department of State Service, Mr Amuda Ogundele has charged corps members to avoid living a predictable or routinised lifestyle.
Amuda gave the charge while delivering a security lecture at the ongoing 2019 Batch B stream II orientation course at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Friday, 23rd August. He admonished the members not to be too predictable in their lifestyles as this can expose them to security threats.
In his sensitisation, Amuda made it known that though the government is trying its best to secure lives and properties, everyone has a role to play in ensuring personal security.
He harped on the need for the members to be conscious of their environment and take necessary precautions to safeguard personal properties such as phones, ATM cards, ID cards, international passports, among others.
He said many have had their accounts hacked by fraudsters as a result of the possession of the victims personal items.
Amuda further adumbrated other security tips that corps members should adhere to in order to stay relatively secure during the service year.
