CORPS MEMBERS SENSITIZE MARKETERS ON DANGERS OF HEPATITIS
Corps members from the Medical CDS group in Osogbo have sensitized marketers on the prevalence of hepatitis, symptoms as well its prevention in order to avoid such and stay healthy.
The education was done during a courtesy visit paid to the popular Orisumbare market in Osogbo.
The president of the Medical CDS, Miss Mary Badmus stated that hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver caused by a viral infection which further poses a threat to health if not attended to urgently adding that, the need to educate people of it dangers was imminent.
Corps members who sort the permission of the iyaloja of Orisumbare market, was granted with microphone and speakers so as to facilitate effective delivery.
During the sensitization , marketers were told to always drink enough water, practice the regular Washing of hands , avoid sharing of needles, ensure the practice of safe sex and acquire vaccination to prevent the occurrence of hepatitis.
Corps members were divided into groups consisting of English, Yoruba and pidgin speakers , carried placards to buttress their messages, providing answers to questions raised by marketers.
