     Dance And Drama CDS Awards Execellence


The Osun State NYSC Performing Troupe, also known as Dance and Drama CDS, have organized a reunion to present awards of excellence to deserving corps members in the group for contributing productively in the activities of the group.

The reunion was held at Organizers Hotel and Suites, Ring Road, Osogbo. The CDS president, Mr Ayodeji Buhari said the reunion was a medium to create moments of togetherness for past and serving corps members of the CDS group. Speaking further, he noted that the reunion was to enhance networking amongst corps members in order for them to have a fulfilling service year.

During the presentation of awards, which was carried out by Mr Martins Adefarisin, a one time CDS president of Dance and Drama CDS group, Mr Demola Emmanuel was presented with an award of excellence for being the most active member in the group. Mr Demola Emmanuel was said to have performed creditably well in the activities of the group, thus the need to honour his show of commitment and devotion.

Prior to the event of the reunion, the group organized a cultural event which held at the cultural center in Oshogbo. The cultural event featured cultural songs, as well as drama to potray the diverse cultures in Nigeria.

The cultural event had in attendance, the Head of CDS,
Mr Kayode Ola-Peters and other NYSC officials. The cultural event was said to have aligned with a core value of the NYSC, which is national integration.

The display of cultural dance and songs left members of the CDS groups as well as spectators in awe as the Dance and Drama CDS showcased the diverse cultures in Nigeria.
