OSUN SENDS OFF STATE COORDINATOR AND OTHERS

OSUN SENDS OFF STATE COORDINATOR AND OTHERS

"The purpose of life is not to be happy, it is to be useful, honourable, compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well". This quote by Ralph Emerson perfectly describes the leadership role portrayed by the outgoing Osun State NYSC Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Attah, who was honourably sent off after a job well done in office alongside the Outgoing Head of Accounts,  Alhaji Dabarako Jubril and Mr Seun Fajemiyo of the Accounts Branch.

The send off ceremony which held at the NYSC permanent orientation camp Ede gathered together friends, well wishers as well as other NYSC officials.

Attah, who appreciated God for the privilege of service as the state coordinator for NYSC in the state of Osun, commended the new state coordinator,  Mr Adegoke Adewale for gracing the occasion with his esteemed presence and other NYSC officials for their undivided support during his tenure in office.

He further enjoined them to provide the same level of support and even more towards Mr Adegoke Adewale as he assumes duty as the 12th Chief Executive Officer of the scheme in the State.

Speaking further, Mr Attah urged corps members in the State to remain disciplined and patriotic in serving the nation, as well as participate in the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship program (SAED) provided by NYSC in order to become productive citizens of the country.

Attah who was described as "Mr Project " was said to have carried out significant projects at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, during his tenure in office. The significant projects which include: a bakery, clinic, the installation of CCTV cameras, amongst others made Ede camp the cynosure of all eyes.

It is on this note, that Chief Tunde Fadahiro, the Assistant Director Human Resource Management Osun State, portrayed Mr Attah as a selfless leader who has left his foot print in the sands of time and would not be forgotten for posterity sake.

Assistant Director, Corps Welfare and Health, Alh. Abdullahi Adamu, described him as a man of discipline, having zero tolerance for mediocrity as well as one who was always after the welbeing of staff and corps members in Osun State.

Other NYSC officials who were present at the send off ceremony portrayed him as a man who is hospitable with a unique sense of forgiveness, they therefore wished him a life of continued success and promotion.
Highlights of the ceremony include: a novelty match between Ede North and Ede South female corps members, beautiful parade by pupils of the NYSC Foundation Nur/Pry School, a player by NYSC officials, presentation of gifts and awards to Mr Attah Alh. Dabarako and Mr Seun.
